In ancient times,sports used to be considered a juvenile activity which was only confined to parks and indoors.While today sports have pushed the boundaries and have attracted national and international audiences and players.So,there is no denying that sports have the power to unite the world and maintain global peace and I completely agree with this viewpoint.

在古代，運動曾經(jīng)被當作是年輕人的活動，范圍僅限于公園和室內(nèi)。而現(xiàn)在，運動已經(jīng)超出了這一界限，并吸引了許多本國和國際的觀眾與運動員。因此，誰也不能否認，運動擁有團結(jié)全世界，維護世界和平的能力。我完全同意這一觀點。

Undoubtedly,sports at international level play a sterling role in diplomatic relations among different nations.Owing to historical or political reasons,not all the countries are at peace with each other.Admittedly,sports evoke the similar pleasure and satisfaction as a victory in war does but brings nations together.Moreover,global sports events can be icebreaker as competitors from nations create a common platform for global leaders,organizations,and athletes to interact in a more convenient and sophisticated way.A good illustration is the Olympic games in which the whole world can be brought together and this has a positive impact on maintaining global harmony.

毫無疑問，國際層面的運動在不同國家的外交關(guān)系上發(fā)揮著舉足輕重的作用。由于歷史或者政治原因，并不是所有國家都和其他國家和平相處。我們必須承認，運動可以激發(fā)與戰(zhàn)爭勝利相似的快樂和滿足感，但卻能將國家團結(jié)起來。此外，全球性的運動盛會可以作為破冰的機會，因為來自各個國家的競賽人員為全球領(lǐng)袖、組織以及運動員創(chuàng)造了一個共同的平臺，使其可以以一種更為便捷和微妙的方式進行互動。一個很好的例子是奧林匹克運動會。全世界都匯聚于這一場合，而這對維持全球和諧擁有積極的影響。
