Well,a time when I missed an appointment was missing my best friend Wang Lei’s birthday party.

一次我錯過別人的約定就是錯過了我最好的朋友Wang Lei的生日慶祝會。

It was about last summer when I just graduated from senior high school.As usual,I accepted Wang’s invitation to his party,which will be held at his grand villa,and he promised that we would have more fun together this time.

這大概是在去年夏天，我們那個時候剛從高中畢業(yè)。和往常一樣，我接受了Wang的生日聚會邀請，這個聚會會在他家的豪華別墅內(nèi)舉辦，他也想我保證，這次我們一定會玩得很開心。

I actually knew Wang’s birthday by heart because I had celebrated his birthday for two years.However,that summer was a bit special.You know,my father wanted me to have an internship in a company of his friend,hoping that I could make the most of my summer before college.So,I followed his advice and went to Beijing,which was far away from my hometown,and started my six consecutive weeks of working.The internship was so intensive that I didn’t even realize I missed his birthday until I refreshed his Wechat moment,where he posted lots of nice photos of his party.

我其實對Wang的生日記得很清楚的，因為我為他慶祝了兩年的生日了。但是，那個夏天有點特殊。我爸爸想讓我把上大學(xué)前的那個暑假充分利用起來，于是想讓我去他朋友家的公司實習(xí)。我采納了他的建議，然后就去了北京，這距離我家鄉(xiāng)特別遠，然后我就開始了連續(xù)不斷的六周工作。實習(xí)強度很大，我甚至都沒有意識到我錯過了他的生日慶祝，是我刷到了他微信朋友圈發(fā)出來的很多張不錯的生日聚會照片才意識到的。

Well,I think the main reason I missed the appointment was that the heavy workload completely diverted my attention from my personal social network.At that time,I truly felt I was not a multi-tasker.

我覺得我錯過這個約定的主要原因就是工作量太大，分散了我對個人交際關(guān)系的注意力。就是在那個時候我才知道我不是一個多線程辦事的人。

I felt guilty about this incident because he was my best friend,and I should’ve set up a reminder or something beforehand.

我對這次事件感到內(nèi)疚，因為他是我最要好的朋友，我應(yīng)該事先設(shè)置好一個備忘錄的。
