In what conditions would you use a computer? 你會在什么情況下使用計算機？

Mostly, when I need to write essays and reports. The relevant software such as “Word” and “Excel” substantially facilitate the writing and editing process. Sometimes, I would also use my laptop to play games and watch TV series. But the frequency has plunged since I had my smartphone.

大多數(shù)情況下，當我需要寫論文和報告的時候。諸如word與excel這樣的相關軟件極大地方便了書寫與編輯過程。有時候，我也會用我的筆記本玩游戲或者看電視劇。但自從有了智能手機之后，其頻率就大大降低了。

When was the first time you used a computer? 你第一次使用計算機是在什么時候？

I literally cannot remember. It seems that ever since I had a memory, the computer has been an integral part of my life. You know, When I was still a kid, I sat on my father’s lap and watched him doing his job. Several years later, he taught me how to play games on it and search for information on the internet.

我完全不記得了。似乎自從我有記憶開始，計算機就是生活中必不可少的一部分。當我還是個孩子的時候，我坐在父親的腿上看著他做工作。幾年之后，他教我如何在上面玩游戲，以及如何在互聯(lián)網(wǎng)上搜索信息。

What would your life be like without computers? 如果沒有計算機的話，你的生活會是什么樣子？

It will become much less convenient. Although the smartphone can now perform many tasks that used to exclusively belong to the computer, like shopping online, playing video games, and surfing the internet, the computer still serves as an indispensable tool in work and study. Its keyboard, mouse, and bigger screen make it much more efficient to input information and search for something.

它會變得不太方便。雖然智能手機如今可以完成許多曾獨屬于計算機的任務，比如網(wǎng)上購物、玩游戲和上網(wǎng)，電腦仍然是工作和學習中必不可少的工具。它的鍵盤，鼠標和更大的屏幕讓它在輸入信息和搜索東西方面更有效率。

In what conditions would it be difficult for you to use a computer? 在什么情況下使用計算機很困難？

When there is no power. No matter how powerful the computer is, it still operates on the premise of power supply. If I am cut off electricity, it will just become a pile of meaningless plastics and metals, which I can do nothing with.

當沒有電的時候。不管計算機有多么強大，它的運行仍然建立在電力供應的基礎上。如果停電的話，它就會變成一堆沒有意義的塑料和金屬，我用它什么也做不了。
