有人覺(jué)得生日很重要，每次都邀請(qǐng)親朋好友一起慶祝；但也有人覺(jué)得生日無(wú)所謂，過(guò)生日那天跟平時(shí)完全一樣，不過(guò)又長(zhǎng)了一歲而已。但相信大家小的時(shí)候都曾經(jīng)期待過(guò)生日。那一天可以吃好吃的，玩好玩的，甚至能拿到一筆零花錢。

What do you usually do on your birthday?你在生日那一天往往做什么？

I would treat my roommates to a feast.You know,the food served in my university’s canteen is far from delicious.So we have developed the tradition that no matter whose birthday it is,we would go to a fancy restaurant and enjoy some yummy food.The birthday is more like an excuse for us to indulge ourselves.

我會(huì)請(qǐng)我的室友吃大餐。我大學(xué)食堂的食物遠(yuǎn)遠(yuǎn)談不上好吃。所以我們形成了這樣子的傳統(tǒng)，無(wú)論是誰(shuí)的生日，我們都會(huì)去一家高端餐廳，享受美味的食物。生日更像是我們放縱自己的一個(gè)借口。

What did you do on your birthday when you were young?你小的時(shí)候會(huì)在生日那一天做什么？

Let me see.When I was a kid,my parents would take me to the wonderland in my city on my birthday.It was a huge place.There were circus performances,shooting games,roller coasters,and lovely animals.And on our way back home,they would buy me a small cake in the grocery.

讓我想想。當(dāng)我還是個(gè)孩子的時(shí)候，我父母會(huì)在我生日那一天帶我到城市里的游樂(lè)園玩。那是個(gè)巨大的地方，有馬戲表演，射擊游戲，過(guò)山車和可愛(ài)的動(dòng)物。回家的路上，他們會(huì)在小商店里給我買個(gè)小蛋糕。

Do you think it is important for you to celebrate your birthday?你覺(jué)得慶祝生日對(duì)你來(lái)說(shuō)重要嗎？

To be honest,I do not.I used to look forward to my birthday when I was a child because it meant I was one year closer to becoming an adult.But now,I am already 21 years old.Celebrating it or not does not make much difference.

老實(shí)說(shuō)，我不覺(jué)得。我小的時(shí)候曾經(jīng)很期待生日，因?yàn)樗馕吨译x成年又近了一歲。但現(xiàn)在，我已經(jīng)21歲了。慶祝生日與否并沒(méi)有太大的區(qū)別。

Whose birthday do you think is the most important to celebrate in China?在中國(guó)，你認(rèn)為慶祝誰(shuí)的生日最為重要？

As far as I am concerned,it should be the grandparents’,especially when they are over 70 years old.Their birthdays are significant not only because they provide a chance for the whole family to get together,but also because there are not many birthdays left for them to celebrate for the rest of their lives.

在我看來(lái)，應(yīng)該是爺爺奶奶的，尤其是當(dāng)他們超過(guò)70歲的時(shí)候。他們的生日很重要，不僅僅是因?yàn)樗鼈兘o家族聚會(huì)提供了機(jī)會(huì)，而且還因?yàn)樵谒麄兊挠嗌?，并沒(méi)有太多的生日可以慶祝了。
