自學考試英語二翻譯題做題技巧

1、詞類的轉譯極

A)名詞、動詞、形容詞往往根據需要轉譯為其他詞類。

例如：My admiration for him grew more . (我對他越來越敬佩。)(n.- v.)

He acted as if he were a teacher. (他的舉止像個教師。)(v.- n.)

Man differs from animals in that he is able to speak(人類與動物的區(qū)別在于他會講話。(v -n)

The new treaty would be good for ten years.(新條約有效期為十年。)( adj- n.)

B)詞的增補

在翻譯過程中，經常遇到這種情況：英文原文中某些詞語，無法用一般字典中相對應的漢語釋義表達出來。翻譯時考生應根據原文的意思，活用字典，用地道的漢語表達出來。有時要根據英語動詞時態(tài)形式增補時間修飾語，有時要增補原文中的省略部分，有時要把代詞還原為所指的對象，有時要增補連接詞以加強修辭效果。

例如：They are working on my bike. (他們正在修理我的自行車。)

He remained though he was badly ill.(雖然病得很重，但是他還是留了下來。)

We found him at his book in the library.(我們發(fā)現他在圖書館看書。)

C)定語從句的翻譯

英語和漢語的定語都有前置、后置之分。但不同的是：英語以定語后置為主：漢語則以前置為主，極少用后置。所以在翻譯過程中，后置定語的翻譯是一大難題，尤其是定語從句的翻譯。通常有兩種譯法：一是譯作前置定語;一是采用分譯法。

限制性定語從句一般可按前置修飾語譯作“……的”。

例如：This is the reason why an airplane sometimes must taxi a long way before taking off.

(這就是為什么飛機在起飛之前有時必須滑行一段長路的原因。)

非限制性定語從句大多在句中起補充說明的作用，翻譯時不改變其語序，而是根據其作用區(qū)別處理，有時通過重復先行詞將定語從句譯為并列句或獨立句，有時加上連接詞語，譯為轉折、目的、結果、原因、讓步。、條件、時間等狀語從句。

例如：In Southern France a solar furnace has been built，where temperature reach more than3，000 centigrade(在法國南部己經建造了一座太陽爐，爐溫高達攝氏3000度以上。)

Copper，which is used so widely for carrying electricity，offers very little resistance.

(銅的電阻很小，所以非常廣泛地用來輸電。)
